“Credenza” is a compact furniture item created by designer Jason Phillips. Our readers who work in the field of design probably know its rich history: “Credenza” in an Italian term which means “belief’. Back in the 16′th century, “credenza” was the act of tasting food by a slave for his master. Later on, the term become popular and started spreading in a variety of domains, including design. In the 19′th century, “credenza” was the name for a very fashionable furniture item made from wood and with a few decorations. Getting back to the present time, Jason’s product is a beautiful compact design with an interesting staircase-shaped bottom and stylish carvings that create a pattern. This could fit well in a contemporary interior, even though its maintenance- dusting, for example- might not be so effortless.- via Behance
